A Rich History
Royal Doulton is a quintessentially English name in tableware, fine gifts and collectables with a pedigree dating back to 1815. Royal Doulton is part of WWRD Holdings Limited, the leading provider of luxury home and lifestyle products worldwide, sold under a number of well-recognized brands, including Waterford, Wedgwood, Royal Doulton, Royal Albert, Minton and Johnson Brothers. WWRD Holdings Limited maintains unique licensing arrangements with some of the most high-profile innovators in the home and lifestyle market, including Vera Wang, Jasper Conran, John Rocha, Monique Lhuillier, Barbara Barry, Gordon Ramsay, Martha Stewart and Michael Aram. The Company's products are distributed through premium department stores and independent retailers and wholesalers around the world, including in the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Canada, Australia and Ireland. WWRD Holdings employs more than 3,700 people worldwide. Royal Doulton, Royal Albert, Minton and celebrity co-brands such as Monique Lhuillier for Royal Doulton and Gordon Ramsay by Royal Doulton are part of the Royal Doulton family of brands. From the very traditional to chic and modern, the company offers a tremendous amount of products and patterns that are relevant to today's consumers. From dining, to entertaining to gift-giving, the company believes its products should be used and enjoyed everyday.

Royal Doulton Canada supplies custom-designed tableware to Air Canada for its first-class service. Royal Doulton Canada also has a longstanding partnership with Four Seasons Hotel properties, and has been chosen by The Department of External Affairs to supply bone china tableware in its Canadian Embassies worldwide.

The Reason Behind the "Royal"
As evidenced by the name, Royal Doulton enjoys the distinction of a "Royal Warrant" -- a mark of distinction bestowed upon people or companies who have regularly supplied members of the Royal Family with goods or services. Royal Warrants, regarded as a mark of supreme excellence and quality, cannot be bought or sold. King Edward awarded the first Royal Warrant to Royal Doulton in 1901. The Doulton Company then became The Royal Doulton Company. Presently, the Royal Doulton brand holds two Royal Warrants, the Royal Albert brand holds two Royal Warrants and the Minton brand holds one.
